About the Journal
|
Digital Learning and Society Review (DLSR) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to exploring the profound intersection of digital technology, educational practices, and societal transformation. As technology rapidly reshapes human interaction, knowledge production, and institutional frameworks, DLSR provides a rigorous, multidisciplinary forum for scholars, sociologists, ed-tech researchers, and policy analysts. The journal critically examines how digital learning environments influence, and are influenced by, broader socio-cultural, political, and economic dynamics in a globalized world.
DLSR welcomes empirical studies, conceptual frameworks, critical reviews, and interdisciplinary investigations. The journal’s scope spans key thematic areas, including:
Digital Pedagogy & Societal Impact: The role of e-learning, mobile technologies, and digital platforms in transforming social structures, cultural norms, and community engagement.
Equity, Access & the Digital Divide: Issues of socio-economic disparity, digital literacy, technological inclusion, and social justice within digital learning ecosystems.
Human-Technology Interaction in Education: Ethical implications of artificial intelligence, automated learning systems, data privacy, and surveillance in modern educational settings.
Digital Culture & Youth Identity: How networked environments shape identity formation, social interactions, and informal learning among digital natives and lifelong learners.
Policy, Governance & Digital Transformation: Macro-level strategies, legal frameworks, and policy reforms governing digital education and its systemic impacts on society.
Digital Learning and Society Review (DLSR) is published biannually (Two issues per year: May and November). The journal adopts a continuous publishing model within each issue to expedite the dissemination of high-impact research.
DLSR is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarship through a robust double-blind peer-review process. Submissions are first assessed by the Editorial Board for scope fit, methodological quality, and originality. Qualified manuscripts are then assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers specializing in the intersection of digital technology, education, and social sciences. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on theoretical significance, analytical rigor, ethical compliance, and overall contribution to the literature.
The mission of Digital Learning and Society Review (DLSR) is to advance critical inquiry into the co-evolution of technology, education, and society—fostering inclusive, ethically grounded, and socially responsible digital learning landscapes across the globe.
