Journal of Public Order & Law (JPOL) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarly inquiry at the intersection of public security, administrative law, criminology, and state governance. The journal serves as a critical forum for legal scholars, criminologists, law enforcement strategists, and public administration experts to evaluate how legal frameworks and state mechanisms maintain civil stability while protecting constitutional rights and human dignity. JPOL critically analyzes the delicate balance between state authority, public safety, emergency governance, and individual liberties within rapidly evolving global and national security landscapes.
JPOL invites original empirical research, legal analyses, policy evaluations, and theoretical frameworks across the following core domains:
Public Security & Administrative Law: Legal regulation of public spaces, police power, emergency powers, national security legislation, and administrative enforcement.
Criminology, Policing & Law Enforcement: Modern policing strategies, community safety, crime prevention, intelligence-led governance, and police accountability.
Cybersecurity, Surveillance & Digital Order: Legal frameworks for cybercrime, state surveillance, data privacy, algorithm-driven law enforcement, and digital civil liberties.
Public Crisis Management & Emergency Law: Legal resilience during national emergencies, public health crises, disaster management, and civil unrest governance.
Human Rights & Civil Liberties in State Governance: Procedural justice, counter-terrorism compliance, protection of peaceful assembly, and judicial oversight of executive power.
Journal of Public Order & Law (JPOL) is published biannually (Two issues per year: June and December), utilizing continuous publication workflows to ensure rapid dissemination of critical legal and policy insights.
To uphold uncompromised academic standards and legal rigor, JPOL adheres to a strict double-blind peer-review process. Manuscripts undergo an initial desk evaluation by the Editorial Board to assess scope alignment, legal logic, and ethical compliance. Qualified submissions are then assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers in public law, criminology, or administrative science. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on legal precision, theoretical soundness, empirical validity, and actionable contributions to public law and governance literature.
Mission Statement: "The mission of Journal of Journal of Public Order & Law (JPOL) is to foster rigorous, evidence-based scholarship that informs the equitable enforcement of public order, strengthens legal accountability, and protects fundamental rights across dynamic security environments worldwide."
